In theme with Doctor's Day, I want to share a little fun fact about me.

As a soccer enthusiast, I played intramural soccer during my college years and in medical school. I began playing indoor soccer just 4 years ago. This year, I will be participating with the first ever Women's US Medical Soccer Team (USMST) in the 2025 World Medical Football Championship, being held in Dublin, Ireland. This February, I met all of these wonderful female physician athletes for the first time in Irvine, CA, playing fun games against the Canada team. Yours truly made the first goal against the Canadians. It was a great experience to meet physicians who share the same passion. I couldn't be more excited for the next step in my soccer journey.

Dr. Balitbit is a highly experienced Family Medicine specialist with over 20 years of clinical experience. She has a strong background in medicine, women's health, and chronic illness. She completed her residency training at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where she served as the chief resident during her senior year. Prior to that, she received training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Manila Doctor's Hospital in the Philippines after graduating from the University of Santo Tomas. Dr. Balitbit is a firm believer in preventative medicine and age-appropriate screenings. She has been serving Galveston County for the past decade. She enjoys spending time with her three sons. Traveling and exploring new cities is one her favorite hobbies. She currently plays indoor coed soccer and the manager of the team.
